Their designs are inventive yet, timeless dialogue of pattern, colour & shapes, unique, distinctive design which celebrate the art of printing. Always at the forefront of technology they use OKO Tex Certified products and are always looking to become more sustainable. Fashion, Home wares and Accessories that bring joy, colour and print, they are made to last.
Wonderful soft and intriguing watercolour blues of sea and sky, are brought to life on Marimekko's Saapaivakirja dinner plate. The Weather Diary collection by Marimekko, is designed by illustrator Aino - Maija Metsola, who lives on an archipelago in Finland.
Inspired by the Nordic weather patterns and Autumnal colours represented by the blues, blacks and dusky greys of the rain clouds, the rich golden glow of the autumn sun and the the long golden grasses swaying in the breeze and storm soaked rocks. The water colour patterns depict the ever changing moods of the autumnal seasonal weather and are illustrated beautifully on the classic crisp minimal lines of the Oiva Tableware or any plain tableware and also works beautifully as a serving or as an art wall hung plate.
