Marimekko is a Finnish lifestyle design company renowned for its original prints and colours. Established in 1951 by Viljo and Armi Ratia in Finland. Originally they started out producing stunning fabrics for clothing and interiors using iconic print patterns, including the poppy print Unikko, first introduced in 1964 by designer Maija Isola, which is still as popular today as ever.
Their designs are inventive yet, timeless dialogue of pattern, colour & shapes, unique, distinctive design which celebrate the art of printing. Always at the forefront of technology they use OKO Tex Certified products and are always looking to become more sustainable. Pieni Siirtolapuutarha design was created by designer Maija Louekari.
A contemporary print of stylised flowers in black, white, green and turquoise, blossoming flowers a burst of bright joy to wear. It has a large front pocket, generous waist straps and the neck strap has three snap fastenings. This new piece is to celebrate Finland's 1ooth Anniversary of Independence!
