Louis Poulsen PH Snowball Pendant Light.
Louis Poulsen PH Snowball Pendant, originally designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958. The PH Snowball shades are matt white on the underside and glossy on top which produces a glare free soft light, producing a lovely uniform light around your room. When the light is on, the top part is lit while the bottom part remains dark. Snowball was introduced at the same time as the PH5 but didn't receive any particular attention then but was re-introduced in 1983 when it took off as a classic in its own right.
The PH series of lamps consists of 30 lamps, including pendants, floor and table lamps. The original lamp shades were made of metal and painted underside in different colours to produce either diffused warm or cold light, with the glass variants appearing later on which provide an all round light. Poul Henningsen was the first designer to use a scientific approach to his lighting designs and produced some of the most iconic and world renowned designs to the market, most of which are still available today. A true master of Danish lamps and lighting.
