Marimekko is a Finnish lifestyle design company renowned for its original prints and colours. Established in 1951 by Viljo and Armi Ratia in Finland. Originally they started out producing stunning fabrics for clothing and interiors using iconic print patterns, including the poppy print Unikko, first introduced in 1964 by designer Maija Isola, which is still as popular today as ever.
Their designs are inventive yet, timeless dialogue of pattern, colour & shapes, unique, distinctive design which celebrate the art of printing. Always at the forefront of technology they use OKO Tex Certified products and are always looking to become more sustainable. Fashion, Home wares and Accessories that bring joy, colour and print, they are made to last.
The impressionistic Valssi pattern cushion cover is made of cotton, both organic and recycled materials and it is printed in Helsinki. The cover has a zipper on one side.
Aino-Maija Metsola painted the bold yet delicate flowers of the Valssi (waltz) print with balmy summer evenings in mind. The transparent petals depict a sense of movement and rhythm reminiscent of a floral dance.
A beautiful colour way of soft and rich blues with a touch of warm orange on a fresh white background. The image is of a flower or petals in a waterlike impressionist style. Suited to both contemporary or traditional furnishings. Filled with a natural feather infill 7 cushion size 50 x 50 cm .
25% of the cotton used in this product is organic and 25% is recycled. Fabrics containing recycled fibers, have a natural lively color and surface where small different coloured areas may appear. There may be differences between products regarding this feature.
