Louis Poulsen VL Studio Wall lamp.
The VL Studio Wall lamp, the newest lamps in this iconic series, are closely related to the VL pendants due to the use of opal glass for the shade. It is made of either polished brass that is slightly brushed or a clean graphical black, both with a glossy white, triple-layered, mouth-blown opal glass shade. It can be used for many situations around the home, in bedrooms, lounges or any other room. Can be tilted 90 degrees either left or right.
The VL lamp series, designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen in the late 1930's, was originally used in the Radiohuset building (the Danish broadcasting house) in Copenhagen (today the Royal Danish Academy of Music). VL38 and the VL45 pendant were both used in the building, then started appearing in the Louis Poulsen catalogues after WW2.
